Keep Your Phone Charged Even When the Power’s Out
In an emergency situation, it’s very important to have some form of communication. You may need to reach out to friends and family members for help or to see if they’re okay, or you may need to contact 911 or another emergency service. All of these things are impossible without reliable communication, especially in a disaster where it may be dangerous or impossible to leave your house.
In the case of a power outage lasting several days, this can spell trouble. A normal cell phone battery won’t last that long, and even a powerbank will run out of juice before too long.
