I’m always on the look out for new and exciting recipes that I can serve and share with my family. We went to this Indian restaurant and their chutney was just amazing. I’ve had tomato and mango chutney before but this one’s different, can you guess what the main ingredient was? Apples! I’m telling you, it was divine! It’s a great side and also makes an amazing gift idea. Just follow these easy steps and start making your very own homemade apple chutney today.
Apple Chutney Recipe:
- 2 kg apple
- 2 white onion
- 500 g brown sugar
- 250 g sultanas
- 250 g raisins
- lemon juice from 2 lemons

- 1 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1 1/2 tsp ground all spice
- 1 tsp of salt
- pinch of ground cloves
- 1 L white vinegar
Step 1
Cut your apple into cubes. You can optionally peel your apples.
Step 2
In a pot under gentle heat, pour the white vinegar and dissolve the brown sugar.
