Everyone has spare parts around the house, even if they’re just simple things like screws, light bulbs, and batteries. No one wants to run to the store every time a light burns out or the remote batteries die. Of course, you could do that if you had to. But after a major disaster, running to the store might not be an option.

When the SHTF, you need all of your survival gear and shelter to be in great shape. If things like doors, windows, lights, camp stoves, radios, generators, or bug out vehicles are damaged, you’re gonna have a bad time.

To make sure that doesn’t happen, you’ll need to keep plenty of spare parts on hand. This should be obvious, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a list of spare parts for preps before, until now. Erica from Living Life in Rural Iowa made a list of 11 spare parts you should have on hand.
