Some of the ideas included: focusing on supplies instead of skills, not stockpiling enough water, relying on an arsenal, not preparing your family, not field testing your gear, telling everyone that you’re a prepper, not having backup plans, and keeping all your supplies in one place.

All of these mistakes could be deadly, but incredibly, there is one huge mistake that I completely forgot about. And it’s a mistake that lots of preppers are making: Going it alone.
I’m naturally a very introverted person. I don’t mind spending lots of time alone, and I only have a handful of friends. There’s nothing wrong with that, but I know that when the SHTF, I’ll be much more vulnerable without a support system made up of other preppers. This is why recently I’ve been reaching out to people in my community and trying to make new friends.
