Earth Day is always April 22, but that should not stop you from celebrating the earth year-round. Here are 20 Earth Day activities you can do to honor Mother Nature and all of her beauty. We’ve rounded up 10 things you can DO every day to go green, as well as 10 places you can GO in this world that are being affected by climate change.
Part of living on this earth is tending to the land we’ve been given to inhabit, and leaving it a better place for our future generations. Many natural habitats are at risk of long-term survival due to climate changes, whether that means they are slowly melting, sinking, or being swallowed by the ocean, we’ve included 10 places you should go before they become a mere memory.

You must go see The Dead Sea and bathe in its healing mineral waters before they vanish. The dead sea’s famous water is vanishing for many reasons; the water is drying up, the salt is being mined, and the sea is being replenished by fresh water from natural underground wells, causing alarming sink holes in underground cavities from the changes of the salt to water balance.
2. DO Carpool

Rally up the troops and get a carpool caravan together. The less cars on the road means less fuel emisions, and less gas and oil consumption. Plus, we could all use a little bonding time to and from the office. Taking a taxi? Consider using uber-pool, one of many green options for those smart-phone-savvy ride sharers.
3. GO to the Amazon Rainforest

Visit the Amazonian rain forest before it’s too late! Enjoy tropical climates and 1000s exotic species in the wild, before there is nothing left. The rainforests of our planet are slowly decreasing in size due to a rise in local climate which causes the wildlife to suffer. Another reason is to make room for larger agricultural fields and industrial activities. In some cases, valuable rainforests are being burned down and turned into green pastures for cattle.

Support your local businesses and buy your goods from them instead of the big chains.

This pacific island is being forced to evacuate due to climate change. Visit it’s beautiful blue coasts, before it’s consumed by the rising tide.
6. DO Go Paperless

Stop receiving paper bills and receive them all via email. You’ll use less paper, and it will be easier to find the bills in your inbox making your whole bill-paying system more efficient! This is often as simple as selecting a check mark online or via your paper bill the next time you send it in.
7. GO Visit the Alps

Enjoy the european mountainscape before it melts away. The Alps have been warming 3 times faster than the worldwide average. The Alps sustain skiing and tourism, they also feed freshwater to many of Europe’s lakes and rivers. If the Alps melt too rapidly, Europe could be in danger. Better plan that ski trip while you can!
8. DO Fix Leaks

One leaky faucet can waste up to 3,000 gallons a year! Stop water wasting and check every last pipe in the house for drips.
9. GO Visit California

Plan that family vacation to the Golden Coast, before they shrivel away! The drought in California is causing serious issues, forcing people to moderate their water usage and rethink their lush green lawns. Time to plan a trip and enjoy the sunny state before the grass gets any less green.

Rivers in China are quickly evaporating, better visit this beautiful National Park famous for it’s rainbow colored mountains, before it’s too hot to handle.
12. DO Send a Letter

Write a letter (e-mail, or written) to your local representative to remind them that you care about the environment, and you think the city should too. Sometimes a few well-thought-out words can make a world of a difference.
13. GO to Venice

Venice is sinking! Visit the charming canals in the romantic Italian city of Venice before it joins Atlantis at the bottom of the Mediterranean. Truthfully speaking, the city is losing .03 of an inch a year, causing existing flooding issues to increase.
14. DO Plant a Garden

Create a space outside in your yard for the kids to tinker around in. Don’t have kids, you can enjoy tinkering around too! Get your hands a little dirty and try planting some fresh herbs that you can use for cooking. Start small, maybe a succulent garden is all you can handle for the time. Any green keeping is good for you.
15. GO to the Great Barrier Reef

Enjoy a snorkel down under, and explore the Great Barrier Reef before it thins away. Carbon Dioxide in the atmosphere has an affect on the ocean habitat as well. The barrier reef is thinning as coral finds it harder to form their unique shape, among other toxic-induced variables.
16. DO Neighborhood Cleanup

Gather the crew and go clean the streets. It takes nothing more than some gloves and a trash bag to get started. When more people gather together, it becomes easier to make a difference.
17. GO to Glacier National Park
This beautiful national park embedded in the landscape of Montana is formed entirely of glaciers. Glacier National Park is quickly vanishing as the glaciers melt. Book a trip before the land becomes an icy legend.
Go in the fall, it’s amazing.
18. DO Walk More

Move your body, it’s good for your own internal ecosystem. Get outside and move around, whether you’re going for a casual stroll, or have an end destination in mind. You’re still doing the body good. Plus, any time you get somewhere without turning on an engine, you’re doing the earth a favor too.
19. GO Visit Tuvalu

This pacific island is only 6 feet above sea level. Rising sea levels are forcing inhabitants to squirm,as they don’t have much room for vertical growth. Visit the beautiful blue island and it’s casual polynesian culture while there’s still dry land to set your sea-faring legs on.
20. DO Toss Your TRASH!

Please, throw it away. If it blew away, chase it down, pick it up, and throw it away. Put it in the right bin, and know that this small effort is making a world of a difference in the long run.
